Governors

The staff and Governors at Martin Frobisher Infant School work very closely together to ensure that all children have access to high quality education.  Our Governors have a range of skills which are utilised to support the strategic development of the school. If you need to contact any of the governors please email governors@martinfrobisher.wakefield.sch.uk or contact the school office who will then ask a governor to contact you. Several of our Governors are also parents of pupils and are often around at the beginning and end of the school day.

When may I need to contact a Governor?

Everyone has an anxiety or a concern at some stage of their child's education and the best first point of contact is always the class teacher, or the headteacher if it’s a concern about the structures and systems of the school or  a child protection issue. Staff are very keen to know when things aren’t going smoothly for your child and calling in for a chat or booking an appointment to meet is always the best first step.

Governors look at the strategic 'big picture' for the school, and at procedures and policies that affect large numbers of children. So if you’re concerned about something that just affects your child, speak to the class teacher. If it’s about how we do things in school on a bigger scale, talking it over with a governor can be helpful
